I bought one of these shredders last year and it is disappointing. It cuts paper well but stops automatically when it gets hot, usually after a relatively short time, and takes some time to cool down. Unless you have the machine at eye level, it is difficult to tell if it is getting full. If it does get too full, it tends to get clogged up and is quite difficult to clear. When you remove the bin, particularly if it is full, a lot of the shredded paper either spills into the casing or onto the floor.

This shredder is great value for the money. Its very easy to empty, it looks very neat and i have never had a paper jam yet! The only slight downside is its a little loud ... but it only takes a few seconds to shred a piece of paper so the sound isn't for long.

Our company would be lost without a cross shredder. It makes customers feel at ease and this is so easy to use and it keeps very clean without getting bits everywhere. I would defiantly recommend.

I bought it after reading other reviews, where it seemed the only cons were was it difficult to empty the bin, but if you keep any eye on how full it gets and empty it after 25 sheets or so you shouldn't have any problems (it is a smallish bin). A great bonus is that it doesn't require oiling either. Brilliant shredder at an equally brilliant price!
