Suspension File Accessories

Suspension file channelsSuspension File Channels are fitted to the box, tray, drawer or trolley where you are holding your suspension files so that they can freely slide up and down the channel as you finger through your files or add/remove files.

Suspension file chassisSuspension File Chassis' will fit into a standard desk drawer to hold suspension files. The chassis is designed to hold both Foolscap size and A4 size suspension files. The size of the actual chassis is: WxDxH: 391x338x246mm. The chassis has rubber feet so that it doesn't slide about in the drawer. The chassis will hold about 40 suspension files at maximum capacity.

Suspension file boxesSuspension File Boxes are standalone storage units for suspension files. The boxes usually come with a full set of suspension files, tabs and dividers. The boxes have the file channels in-built but you can fold them out if you need to use the box for other purposes. Suspension file boxes are great for office moves and also just for general storage; the boxes are easily stackable with the lids on and will hold a large amount of files - they typically come in 470x340x240 size.

Suspension file frameSuspension File Frames are lightweight alternatives to boxes and are easily collapsible for transportation, they are made of plastic and lightweight metals. These products are sometimes only compatible with the same manufacturers' suspension files so you need to ensure that you check this on the product description.

The ones that come with a little fold on the bottom such as the Esselte product pictured to the left are probably best as the fold stops them slipping out so easily. Also, check for product descriptions that detail textured paper as this will also help to stop them sliding out.

Suspension File TabsSuspension File Tabs are the little plastic tabs with labels on that slot onto the top of suspension files. The tabs are broadly interchangeable between brands of suspension files and just clip or slide onto the top. You cannot really go wrong here so our advice is to purchase on price (but do ensure compatibility by checking product description). You can find recycled products here such as the 5 Star products.

Suspension File trolleySuspension File Trolleys provide highly compact storage with easy accessibility for your lever arch files. A 65cm long file trolley (such as the one pictured) can hold up to 120 suspension files in either A4 or Foolscap sizes. Some of the products have lockable tops so if you need your trolley and it's contents to be secure then it would be worthwhile checking for this feature. Many of the products also come with shelves so that you can store other items in the cavity under the suspension files.
