Transfer Files are simple folders, usually made from heavyweight manilla card that have a sprung filing mechanism inside for holding punched paper. We have a massive range with over 100 products so this guide should help you through the main differentiators of the products.
Transfer files come in a large variety of colours so you can colour code your filing systems; these files are useful for short term filing for small quantities of hole punched paper; they are like a cheaper, more compact but less durable ring binder.
We sell transfer files from a number of different brands;
Concord Transfer Files are our largest range, they are made from 100% recycled manilla card, generally come in packs of 25 and are 38mm wide. You can buy them in a wide range of colours including some new brighter colours - the main difference here is that you can buy them in both 315gsm (grams per square metre) card and 450gsm card - obviously the heavier products are more hard wearing and will protect your paper better.
The Elba transfer file range has two main products; the Stratford range of Transfer files is a simple model that has the addition of a flap on the inside cover to hold unpunched papers and other loose papers as well as the sprung filing mechanism for the hole punched papers. As well as this range there is the Spirosport range that is mainly split by some of the products being made from manilla board and the others from polypropylene.
The manilla Spirosport products are all 100% recycled and made from 315gsm card - they have a sprung bar that forms a bridge between the two sheets of card so that you can easily flick through the contents of the file.
The Elba Spirosport poly has a CD and business card holder on it's inside cover and is strong and durable due to the polypropylene material. Although this is slightly more expensive than the manilla counterpart it will last longer.
There is also a great range of Guildhall transfer files which come in a simple style with an inner flap or in a havyweight 420gsm version. The Guildhall transfer files usually come in packs of 25 and are made from 50% recycled material.
Europa Transfer files which they term differently by their two ranges - Portfolio files and spiral files. The spiral files are your more typical transfer files with the metal sprung mechanism that holds the paper in place and the Portfolio files have an elasticated attachment to fold the files closed and the contents secure. They are made out of strong 500 micron pressed board so will wear well.
