A sticky note is a small piece of paper with an adhesive strip, ideal for temporarily attaching notes to files, desktops, monitors or just about any other surface.  They were originally an accidental discovery by the company 3M as one of their scientists was trying to develop a strong adhesive and failed; when he tested the adhesive he found that ithe glue came away with the paper that it was attached to when applied to another surface. It was 4 years until they found a use for this weak glue.

Post It notes are the leading brand supplier of Sticky notes - this is not surprising as they are owned by 3M who invented the product in the first place.

The brand is an example of where their name has become the standard term referring to the product, similar to hoover.

They are a quality product that you can rely on to do the job every time. The pack pictured is the most popular post it note product - it is the 76x76mm square Post It note - it comes with 100 sheets per pad and can be bought in a range of sizes with the most popular being the 12 pack of pads.

We also stock a range of 5 Star sticky notes which are also great quality but as the brand name doesn't carry so much weight are available at lower prices. These also come in a range of sizes and shapes.

Depending on your use for the sticky note you may be best off with a specific size of sticky note.

Page marking:

If the task at hand is to mark the pages of a book or report then you should use small page mark sticky notes, it is possible to write short notes on these to remind you why you have bookmarked something and as with all stick notes are re-positionable due to their unque weak glue.

Leaving notes & reminders for yourself and colleagues:

It is always useful to have at hand both the square sticky note of 76x76mm and also the rectangular sticky note of 76x127mm, the rectangular one is always better for holding that little bit more content.
