Advertising agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky have gone big with their project management tools.  Everyone can see project statuses and, I suppose, it adds an element of competition between different teams. (Could they run a pool on which job will get finished first?)

With projectors dropping in price, this might be possible for smaller businesses out there.

If you have issues within your business that relate to a lack of clarity on who is doing what and where they are with the project then this may be a good method to bring transparency to your organisation.

I think that transparency is always a good thing within a business so would love to have a system like this. That said i wonder how long it takes everyone to constantly report their progress on every job that they are working on. I think that it would be great for companies who have a number of large projects to get through but maybe not so useful for companies that have a lot of work done on the fly.

Good point, Jane. If one's company is working quickly with small projects, this would be like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. But if pitching for work, perhaps planning some project that involves a few people, getting something like this on a whiteboard and filling it in at the end of the day (even guestimating) might be useful. Plus you could bet on it!

Surely you would have to have certain lighting and a nice flat wall. Not ideal for many/most small businesses. I am going to stick to the LCD. Colour's better, bulbs don't cost the earth, they look smarted and whilst they are expensive they are alot more flexible..
