With 'pico' projectors you can have the benefits of a big screen without a big palaver.
Last month I bought a regular-sized projector. I use it to watch movies at home. It's HD and nice and bright, but it's awkward to focus (to get a good picture it's balanced on books on top of boxes), is quite noisy and runs hot enough to replace a radiator. I'm actually having to re-arrange my sitting room to make it easier to use.
Despite logistical issues, I'm content with my purchase because I watch a lot of films. But if I wasn't a cinephile, I could have chosen a tiny 'pico' projector instead. They are palm or pocket-sized, portable and battery powered. You get a big screen effect, without any of the hassle. OK, it might not be HD – and the picture won't be as bright as with a 'proper' projector – but if you only need it occasionally or for presentations, or you're on the road visiting clients a lot, a pico projector might be right up your alley.
