Compatible v original toner cartridges?

I was ordering cartridges for two of our printers in the office and was surprised with the number of compatible cartridges that were available to order. It got me thinking, Do you prefer to use a compatible cartridge or do you stick to the original?

I've tried compatible inks in the past and have never been convinced with the quality. I also seemed to suffer from blocked nozzles quite frequently with compatibles. On my photo printer I've never tried compatibles as I believe the best output will be obtained using the manufacturers specified inks (and papers). Since changing back to originals with my other printers I've not had a problem with blockages, so I'll be sticking with originals from now on.
