In a homage to the 'Will it blend?' videos on YouTube, some clever clogs is asking 'Will it print?'

In the 'Will it blend?' videos, a kitchen blender manufacturer tries to blend lighters, iPads, iPhones, toys – all sorts of stuff. It's a smart way of showing how powerful his products are.

Taking inspiration from this idea, one chap wants to know if his printer can use an ink cartridge filled with wine.

The results are mixed, as shown by the YouTube audience's reaction. One comment says that the cartridge is likely to have a bit of ink left in it, so the wine won't come through on the first print. Someone else points out that a bottle of wine can only be used for one colour, whereas you can buy multicolour ink cartridges.

Even if the idea was practical, I'm not sure it would be a good thing. What would the world be like if wine was only used in ink cartridges? Can you imagine going to someone's house for dinner clutching a bouquet of flowers and an inkjet cartridge? (And heaven knows what the dinner will be flavoured with.)

Hey, why waste a good bottle of good wine? There's already material been use on the cartridge. You don't need to use wine. Could use a glass of wine for now and a bottle for boeuf bourguignon.

Surely wine is too wet? I thought printer ink is more like compressed powder...
