If you are one of our customers in central London, keep your eyes peeled for prehistoric, giant, winged predators that could snatch your head off as you walk to work.
So the CCC (my acronym for the Cameron Clegg Coalition) have set out their budgetary stall. We knew what to expect and small business organisations seem pleased with the Queen's Speech. But the CCC have studiously avoided the awkward question of VAT.

If you wake up each morning, looking  forward to your day in the office, then you're one of the lucky ones – your employer obviously has got it right. But what is the secret ingredient for creating a happy workplace? We ran a poll to see what small businesses thought would best motivate employees.

What a change a bit of sun makes - as soon as the summer begins the UK seems to suddenly switch to a completely different mentality and way of behaving - but how does this behaviour translate into the workplace?
Ming Campbell quoted one telling figure on last night's Question Time – personal debt in the UK now adds up to £1.3 trillion.  That's a lot of money, and not all of us have the skills to get a grip on our finances. So when the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) says businesses need to help employees coping with debt, the suggestion makes sense.
It's feared that the new coalition government are gearing up for an increase in VAT, which could hurt small businesses, experts warn. Economist at the British Chambers of Commerce, Steve Hughes says any tax increase will feed through into negative consequences...
Thanks to the Brothers Miliband, the Labour leadership contest is making Cain and Abel headlines. But this is more than a two-horse race. And it not just who heads Labour, but who would be the most effective leader of the opposition. Because that's what the country needs right now.

Whether it's allowed or not, many, many people use Facebook at work. In case you're one of them, you need to watch this video about a Facebook adware scam. The hook is it uses a lady's shapely bottom to get bored office workers to click.
What will the coalition government mean for your business - this short video will bring you a few of the key news topics for small businesses from this week.
How do you go about getting people passionate about their business again?

There's a cafe my father goes to regularly. The prices are reasonable (some might say cheap), the tea and coffee is good and the full-English breakfast is tasty. The staff are pleasant, the loos are clean and there are free daily papers to read.

While I was trying to understand what's going on with the government – who's been invited to the ball, who's been sent home and who's in charge of the dresses – I stumbled across a BBC article about working long hours.
Every business has a different style and character and the nature of the relationships within that business are often set by the business owner/manager. We are keen to understand how business owners set the tone in their business as well as how all employees feel that they could best be motivated.
Well, at least the political deadlock is over and the CCC (Cameron Clegg Coalition) have announced their policies. They're going to be pre-occupied with the monster issues of banking reform and budget deficit, but does this spell the end of the nightmare for SMEs?
There was an alternative race going on around the UK last night. This was the race to see which constituency will declare results first. Sunderland has been the winner in the past four contests, thanks to the weight of the ballot paper.
I think that it has probably crossed all of our minds at some point, that setting up on our own or with one or two like minded others would be far preferable than grinding out our days trying to make money for someone else. But how does the dream pan out in reality?
Most of us have a favourite pen in the office. It's the one that's best for doodling at a boring meeting or signing your name with a flourish. You probably have a favourite brand, but when Stephen Wiltshire chooses Staedtler pens, he has a very good reason.
As pre-election fever hots up among the party leaders, take a cold hard look at the future. We could be in line for 'painful' tax rises, says one influential think tank.
Green Office Week has now come to an end but the idea is that we all continue to make eco-friendly choices throughout the year.
According to a BBC article, a sports centre in Hull has removed a chip vending machine after concerns were raised by some people using the sports centre. Irony of the situation aside, did anyone else know that a vending machine for chips existed?
