A scanner self-portrait might be better than a cheeky photocopy.
We’ve all heard stories of people using photocopiers to take pictures of full moons. But, instead of the crass, what if office equipment could be used to make something beautiful?
I’ve found a charming portrait created using an office scanner; it’s of a young woman with flowers in her hair. The image has an underwater quality to it. It actually reminds me of John Everett Millais’ painting ‘Ophelia‘.
Would you try something like this in the office? I did a bit of digging and discovered that the artist used an Epson Perfection scanner for her picture, but I’m sure you could create something equally lovely with a different brand.
